Postdoctoral position in proteomics / molecular biology / stress adaptation

Requirements:

A successful candidate is expected to have an experience in protein studies at molecular biology level, you will come to our lab with relevant molecular biology / molecular genetics expertise, and with working knowledge of protein analysis. Once hired, you will analyze barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) proteom and phosphoproteom, with particular analysis of Ca-binding protein families (with wide IgG-based technology) following drought stress treatment. You will be joining a team with an established record in plant molecular genetics.

Abstract:

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Department of Biotechnology in the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Faculty of Biology at Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan, Poland. The current interest of several groups in the Department of Biotechnology is in explanation of signalisation and molecular mechanisms of plant adaptation to environmental stresses.

Description:

The deadline for application is 15th March, 2011. The starting date is flexible, with an earlier date preferred. Due to the nature of our projects, we would prefer a candidate who can commit for at least two years, but an extension of a contract for up to four years is possible.
