Abstract:
Early Stage Researcher (ESR) within the Marie Curie ITN "EVONET - Evolution of Gene Regulatory Networks", to work in the Laboratory for Development and Evolution headed by Professor Michael Akam at Cambridge University
Description:
The EvoNet ESR(s) will study the gene networks underlying segmentation and/or mesoderm formation in arthropods. They will also participate in the annotation and analysis of the recently sequenced genome of the centipede Strigamia maritima. The exact details of the projects are open to discussion according to the particular interests of the researchers appointed
The position provides an opportunity for a suitable candidate to obtain research experience in one of the leading "Evo-Devo" (evolutionary developmental biology) laboratories of Europe.
The position is available immediately for suitably qualified candidates. Funding is available until 30 September 2012
